CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory in association with ESERO Ireland runs Rosetta themed ‘Engineering Week’ workshops and events from February 9 -13  at SFI Discover Science Centres in Blackrock Castle Observatory and Lough Gur as well as at Dunsink Observatory.

Participating students will investigate electronic circuits & solar panels in Rosetta Mission workshops; events include tours of the observatories in Cork and Dublin and a site visit to the stone circle in Lough Gur. The primary and second level school groups will also play the Comet Chaser Cinema game, visit the huge model of Comet 67P in the courtyard at Blackrock Castle and hook up with Rosetta Lander Engineer Larry O Rourke in a LIVE ESA WebEx.
