#SpaceConfluence ESERO Ireland is delighted to partner with MTU Blackrock Castle Observatory (BCO) and Junior Cycle for Teachers (JCT) for the 2023 ESERO Space Education Confluence, the annual professional learning experience supporting teacher engagement with Earth and Space strand of the Junior Cycle. This is what teachers who attended the 2022 Confluence had to say about the event “Really enjoyable morning, excellent to hear about the Irish connection to the JWST as well as the pathways of the speakers to their current roles. Lots of ideas on how to link different JC learning outcomes in a way which will stimulate student thinking.” “This was my first experience of a Science Confluence. It educated me as an educator & a person, in the model of the lifelong learner. The multidisciplinary approach worked really well for me: the combination of teachers, teacher educators, science researchers & those who apply the knowledge to the launch & ongoing use of the James Webb Space Telescope gave a really rich learning experience.” “I learned so much, I am delighted I attended and look forward to the workshops being held at a later time. Thanks a million.” “This was worth giving up a Saturday morning for, which is massive praise” We want to hear from YOU!
