Online Summer Course – Discover Climate & Space with ESERO
July 1st and August 16th, 2024
Primary Level

This course will give you the knowledge and confidence to teach students the difference between weather and climate. Causes and effects of climate change can be investigated in the classroom and you will be equipped to lead your students to participate in the European Space Agency Climate Detectives project in the autumn.

Online Summer Course – Connecting with your Local Scientific Heritage with Birr Castle Demesne and ESERO

This Birr Castle Demesne, ESERO Ireland and SFI’s Curious Minds Programme course explores the castle’s a rich Scientific Heritage and much of the course content is based around the different aspects of this heritage, providing examples to teachers of how they can derive inspiration from their own local areas to involve children in inquiry-based STEM education.

Online Summer Course – STEAMing through Dark Skies and Biodiversity with ESERO

After the huge success of our first online course (Discover Climate & Space), we have once again collaborated with SFI’s Curious Minds Programme to introduce you to the exciting world of the night sky and biodiversity.  This course is suitable for all primary teachers and over the course of the 5 modules you will be introduced to:

This 20 hour online summer course is for primary teachers of Junior classes

This ESERO Ireland course in partnership with  MTU/Blackrock Castle Observatory uses space as a cross-curricular theme and aims to help teachers improve their understanding of and confidence in using a variety of space and STEM related activities and resources.
