Explore how telescopes have changed over time, from the earliest two lens designs to the current construction of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) which is due to be launched on the European Space Agency (ESA) Ariane 5 Rocket on 31st October 2021.
At the workshop you will design and make a model of the JWST and use mathematics to explore why the mirror has been designed with hexagons.
This space technology workshop is suitable for teachers of 3rd class and up, and will involve modelling, testing and evaluation.
This workshop is free but registration is required
