Ireland’s European Space Education & Resource (ESERO) and Discover Primary Science and Maths Awards (DPSM) offers you a unique opportunity to participate in this on-line summer course for teachers of 2nd to 6th classes. This course will give you the knowledge and confidence to teach students the difference between weather and climate using classroom resources from the European Space Agency (ESA). Causes and effects of climate change can be investigated in your classroom and you will be equipped to lead your students through The ESAs Climate Detectives project.
Some feedback from teachers who participated previously:
“Thank you for the course, I really enjoyed it and found it interesting and eye opening on a personal level. I found that the course provided a lot of examples and useful resources, which I definitely plan to use in the future. I felt the course was a great mix of text, visual diagrams/images, video and audio and that definitely kept me engaged and made it more enjoyable. Thanks again.”
Found this course very enjoyable. As I prefer face-to-face courses I was a bit apprehensive at first but after getting familiar with it I found it great that I could do it at my own pace and revisit something if needed. Will definitely be teaching a lot of the knowledge I have gained to my new class!
“Excellent course with loads of good online resources to use. I normally really struggle with online courses but this one I thoroughly enjoyed. Really exceeded my expectations.”
