Within the context of the Curious Minds / ESERO Framework for Inquiry we will Engage, Investigate and Take the Next Steps in this series of activities for primary children.
Create a simple radio, look for sources of radio interference and make your own model radio dish.
Activities are centred on the Energy and Forces strand of the Science Curriculum, strand unit: Magnetism and Electricity, and are suitable for 3rd class and up.
The workshop is based on the Science Week Primary Resource – Radio Waves
Online participants, please bring your own 9V battery and coin!
Online session on Tuesday 8 November (4pm to 5.15pm) and as a face-to-face session at MTU Blackrock Castle Observatory on Wednesday 9 November (7pm to 8.30pm).
