Science Week 2026: Inspiring Careers Chats with Shanice Griffin & Skill Exploration LIVE from Dream Space
Blast Off Into Your Future This Science Week
Celebrate Science Week 2026 by launching into the world of space and science careers with a live careers chat hosted by content creator Shanice Griffin!
Discover what it takes to work in the exciting world of space with inspiring conversations with guests working in space-related careers alongside an interactive session led by Microsoft Dream Space, and a live Q&A where you can ask your burning questions to everyone involved.
This special event is coming live to you from Dream Space with Research Ireland and ESERO Ireland and will allow young people to not only hear and engage with individuals from different backgrounds but also take some time to do a practical activity in your classroom.
The session is designed for Junior Cycle, Transition Year, and Youthreach learners. No previous knowledge is required. Classes and groups will need an internet-connected screen with audio to join the broadcast. All requirements for the activity from 9:45AM to 10:30AM will be supplied in the confirmation email you will receive following registration but rest assured that it will not be too burdensome for you to participate.

The event order is as follows. Your school/centre can choose to join with one element individually OR block time for groups to take part in the entire event (recommended!):
- 9AM – Welcome and Introduction to Careers in the Space Sector with Shanice Griffin and exciting guests
- 9:45AM – Take part in a simple hands-on activity in your classrooms with the Dream Space team which will help students practice the skills that are spoken about by our previous guests
- 10:30AM Specific career focus with a special guest
- 11:15AM Interview Q&A for our guests with your questions alongside those of our live studio audience
